"O Brother, Where Art Thou?"

Landon, it's your Spring Break from school this week. And you're spending it with DeeDee and Papa in New Orleans. You always enjoy going down, with or without me. Yall are doing all kinds of fun stuff like hanging out on the balcony, walking in the Quarter, and even a little courtyard work. But back at home, your little sister misses you! She's a whole lot harder to entertain without you here. The cutest thing is anytime we go into Mommy and Daddy's room, and she sees all the pictures, she talks and talks. There is also a picture of you on the coffee table, and she talks and coos at it like you can hear her. We can't wait for you to come home, and I know Shelby agrees!

"Kee-Cat"

It's official Shelby! Your first word is definitely "cat." You made the 'at' sound before, but now there is a 'k' sound before it. Sometimes, you even say 'kee-cat' like kitty cat. And hey, it's no wonder since we have four cats and all. Squirrel is always in the middle of everything we do. Your loud squeals and cries don't even phase him; Mikey too. Coco stays way far away from you; she really only comes to hang out after you have gone to bed. Moo has taken up residence in your room in the rocking chair. For a while, when we weren't trying to use your bed, Mikey decided it would be a fine bed for him, and he moved in. Squirrel, Mikey, and Moo all are eager to lap up any unfinished meal you may leave behind. Moo loves your oatmeal in the morning, and the boys like anything that has meat in it. Oh, we've got some crazy cats, all right, but they all are unique and all have a place in our family.
